Leading with Sustainability: Laying the Groundwork for Lasting Services
When is there right time to start thinking about sustainability? Starting the sustainability conversation from the design and proposal phase will provide the platform needed for appropriate funding and execution of sustainable WASH programs. On December 15, 2011 Global Water Challenge, WASH Advocacy Initiative and the WASHplus Project brought together leading experts for an hour-long webinar entitled "Leading with Sustainability: Laying the Groundwork for Lasting Services".
About Us
In 2010, over 40 organizations gathered at the first Sustainability Forum to discuss sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services at scale. The following year, nearly 100 stakeholders from over 50 organizations came together to develop a common set of sustainability principles, which became the WASH Sustainability Charter. The momentum continued to build with new sustainability initiatives, learning forums, webinars, and presentations at global conferences.

WASH Sustainability Webinar Series
The WASH Sustainability Webinar Series is an on-going series of online meetings that help to advance the conversation around key issues in WASH sustainability. The WSWS is a platform for implementers, donors, and other stakeholders to engage with leading experts on diverse topics. The webinars are broadcast live around the globe, and the conversation is continued following the event through the discussion boards on SustainableWASH.org.

Initiatives
Welcome to SustainableWASH.org’s Initiative Incubator.
Collaborative initiatives have been a key driver of progress in WASH sustainability. Often, these initiatives lack a platform for continued collaboration.
This incubator provides a space for emerging WASH sustainability initiatives to share information with initiative participants and the WASH Community WASH community more broadly. The Initiative Incubator provides a free webpage, online hosting of resources, and support for WASH sustainability initiatives that are pushing the envelope in lasting services.
